Sembilan perkumpulan layar asal Jawa Timur, yakni Armatim, Kobangdikal, AAL, Lanmar Surabaya, Porlasi Surabaya, Tuban, Sidoarjo, Pasuruan, dan Mojokerto. dipastikan ikut ambil bagian di Kejuaraan Layar piala Walikota Surabaya 2009, yang digelar di perairan Poras, Tanjung Perak Surabaya, 28-30 Mei.
Ketua Pelaksana lomba, Uwais Alqarni, di Surabaya, Rabu (27/5).mengatakan, kejuaraan yang diadakan Pengurus Kota (Pengkot) Persatuan Olahraga Layar Seluruh Indonesia (Porlasi) Surabaya ini, akan melombakan empat kelas, yakni Optimis A (12-15 tahun) dan Optimis B (Beginer) dengan ketentuan usia atlet 10 tahun ke bawah. Laser 4.7 Open. Laser Open handicap (Standart, Radial), dan Dinghy Open Handicap (470, FireBall/FB, 420, Hobie Cat dan Enterprise) akan diikuti sekitar 60 atlet dan official.
Menurut Uwais, animo peserta yang tampil di Piala Walikota dari tahun-ketahun mengalami peningkatan, hal tersebut terbukti hadirnya pelayar dari Pengurus cabang (Pencab) Porlasi Tuban, Sidoarjo, dan Pasuruan. Keikutsertaan ketiga daerah ini, diharapkan menambah jumlah competitor serta daya saing antar pelayar sehingga lomba menjadi ketat dan solid dalam memburu gelar juara.
Dikatakannya, kejuaraan ini juga diharapkan muncul potensi bibit atlet usia dini. Apalgi dengan dipertandingkannya lomba di kelas Optimis B, hal ini akan memberikan peluang kepada para atlet usia di bawah 10 tahun unjuk kebolehan dalam merintis prestasi. Bagaimanapun dengan banyaknya frekuensi lomba yang diikuti para pelayar sangat membantu serta menunjang bagi penampilan maupun skill dalam menimba pengalaman jam terbang pelayar. ”Kapan lagi regenerasi atlet layar ini dapat berjalan kalau tidak diawali dari pembinaan atlet usia dini. Pasalnya dari potensi merekalah prestasi layar Jatim bisa meningkat dan berkembang dalam meneruskan prestasi para seniornya,” ungkapnya.
Dia menyebutkan, munculnya potensi para atlet pendatang baru dari daerah sangat menjanjikan serta menaruh harapan bagi suksesnya kaderisasi atlet tetap berjalan. Apabila hal ini tidak didukung serta diimbangi dengan program latihan yang keras dan sering mengikuti lomba maka jangan harap prestasi tersebut akan terealisasi.
Apalagi olahraga air ini sangat membutuhkan talenta serta kejelian atlet dalam membaca situasi serta keadaan cuaca. Karena dari ketepatan menentukan arah mata angin tersebut jelasnya dapat dipastikan membuat laju kapal layar bisa tak tertandingi oleh para pesaingnya.
Piala bergilir Walikota Surabaya akan diberikan kepada Tim yang menjadi juara umum, dan atlet yang meraih juara I,II, dan III akan mendapatkan tropi/medali dan piagam penghargaan dari panitia pelaksana. (sug/j)

MTF 2009, HASILKAN TRANSAKSI RP 19,8 MILIAR
Ajang Majapahit Travel Fair (MTF) yang digelar 22-29 Mei 2009 di Gramedia Expo Surabaya, menghasilkan transaksi sebesar Rp 19,8 miliar atau meningkat 17,4% dibanding tahun 2008 yang menghasilkan Rp 16,9 miliar.
Ketua Panitia Drs Sunarmaji MM usai penutupan MTF 2009 di Gramedia Expo Surabaya, Senin (26/5) malam mengatakan, hasil peningkatan ini tidak lepas dari kerja keras peserta atau penjual paket wisata (seller) dalam mempromosikan kekayaan budaya, seni, dan objek wisata di daerahnya. ”Peserta sangat siap menghadapi pameran ini, mereka menawarkan paket wisata yang sangat menarik,” katanya.
Dalam laporannya Sunarmaji mengungkapkan, seluruh rangkaian acara seperti seminar, lomba lukis payung, tari, dan jamuan makan malam berjalan sesuai rencana. Bahkan banyak peserta yang terkejut saat diajak jalan-jalan ke Kabupaten Pasuruan, Malang dan Kota Batu. ”Mereka banyak yang terkesan, karena tidak pernah menemui ajang serupa di propinsi lain yang jadwal acaranya sangat padat dan menarik,” ujarnya.
Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata (Disbudpar) Jatim Drs Djoni Irianto MMT mengatakan, secara umum pelaksanaan MTF tahun ini berjalan baik. Namun seluruh panitia tidak boleh berpuas diri. Jadikan ajang tahun ini sebagai landasan MTF tahun depan.”Ke depan MTF harus lebih baik lagi,” tegasnya.
Ia berharap, melalui ajang ini seluruh peserta dapat saling bertukar informasi dan pengalaman sehingga peningkatan kualitas dunia pariwisata, seni, dan budaya menjadi lebih baik.”Saya harap semua peserta baik yang dari Jawa Timur atau daerah lain dapat memperoleh manfaat pemeran ini,” ujarnya.
Untuk diketahui MTF tahun ini dihadiri 62 penjual paket wisata (seller) yang berasal dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Sementara buyer yang datang dari luar negeri terbesar adalah Malaysia sebanyak 18 orang, Cina sebanyak 15 orang, Singapura delapan orang. Sisanya dari Hongkong, Filipina, Vietnam dan Thailand. Sementara buyer dari dalam negeri berjumlah 14 orang dari Bali, Banjarmasin, Jakarta, Medan, Bandung, dan Jambi.
Even MTF ini sangat penting mengingat sektor pariwisata memberikan kontribusi sangat besar bagi PDRB Jatim. Pada 2007 sektor pariwisata menyumbang Rp 29,6 triliun dan pada 2008 meningkat 18,19% menjadi Rp 35, 07 triliun.
Lomba Di MFT
Pada kesempatan tersebut dilakukan penyerahan beberapa lomba di antaranya lomba stan terbaik dengan pemenang harapan III diperoleh Disbudpar Kabupaten Kediri, harapan II Disbudpar Kota Batu, untuk harapan I diperoleh Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudyaan Propinsi DKI Jakarta.
Untuk stan terbaik ke III diraih Disbudpar Propinsi Jateng, stan terbaik ke II diperoleh Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kota Surabaya. dan untuk peringkat pertama diperoleh Disbudpar Propinsi Daerah Istimewa Jogjakarta.
Sedangkan untuk lomba tari, grup tari Gitomaron dengan tari Gelang Roum berhasil menjadi yang terbaik, mengalahkan empat kelompok lainnya, yakni Tarian Gandol dari Disbudpar Kabupaten Magetan, tari Remo Bolet dari Putra Bima Respati, tari Sisik Melik dari Kreasi Sidoarjo, dan tari Labuh Suromadu karya Fiktif Studio. Dengan prestasi tersebut Gitomaron berhak mendapatkan piala bergilir dari Gubernur Jatim.

Tim putri tuan rumah Surabaya harus ”pulang kampung” lebih awal setelah menelan dua kali kekalahan di ajang Kejurda Voli Junior Jatim 2009 di GOR Unesa Lidah Wetan Surabaya.
Di pertandingan kedua, tim putri Surabaya dikalahkan tim putri Kabupaten Blitar dengan skor telak 3-0 (25-18, 25 -13 dan 25-18) dan ini kelalahan kedua setelah di pertandingan pembukaan Senin (25/5), tim besutan M Muhajir itu kalah dari Jember dengan skor telak 1-3 (24-26, 22-25, 25-22, 20-25).
Di ajang Kejurda Junior 2009, Kota Surabaya mencanangkan merebut dua gelar juara baik tim putra maupun di tim putri, namun harus merelakan gelar putrinya lepas. Tim putri Surabaya tergabung di grup Y. Tim putri Surabaya masih menyisakan satu kali pertandingan melawan tim Ponorogo, namun pertandingan ini sudah tidak berpengaruh lagi, karena tim putri Ponorogo merupakan tim kuat. Di pertandingan pertama, tim putri Ponorogo berhasil mengalahkan tim Jember dengan angka telak 3-0 ( 25-9, 25-7 dan 25-15)
Dengan hasil kekalahan itu patut disesalkan. Tim tuan rumah unggul segalanya. Materi pemain Surabaya cukup komplet dan sebagian besar merupakan binaan klub elite Surabaya Bank Jatim. Faiska Dwi Pertama dkk gagal memanfaatkan semua kelebihan itu menjadi kemenangan, kekalahan itu sebagai akibat dari kurangnya persiapan menjelang pertandingan. Para pemain tampak loyo, tidak bertenaga. "Entah apa sebabnya, tapi yang jelas fisik anak-anak sangat jelek. Mainnya kurang prima, seperti kurang persiapan," ujar Binpres Pengkot PBVSI Surabaya, Drs Soetedjo dikonfirmasi, Selasa (26/5) malam.
Sedangkan di pertandingan putra, tim Surabaya belum banyak menemui kesulitan. Di pertandingan pertama tim putra Surabaya berhasil mengalahkan tim Trenggalek dengan skor telak 3-0 (25-18, 25-13 dan 25-18). Tim putra Surabaya yang bermaterikan pemain-pemain junior Surabaya Samator dan memiliki postur tubuh cukup tinggi tidak banyak menemui kendala, pemain yang turun yaitu Rizal Maulana (kapten) posisi tosser dan pemain spike yang cukup baik yaitu M Mirza, Angga, Aris, Dimas Zainul S (libero).
Tim Surabaya berada grup B bersama Trenggalek, Situbondo dan Jombang. Tim putra Surabaya di pertandingan pertama, tidak begitu susah payah, tapi banyak kesalahan-kesalahan yang dibuat pemain putra Surabaya sehingga lawan memperoleh poin demi poin, kesalahan terutama mulai dari receive yang tidak bagus padahal serangan yang bagus diawali dari receive yang bagus.
Para pemain Surabaya juga belum teruji ketangguhannya, banyak pemain yang ceroboh, beberapa kali pemain melakukan smash tapi pemain Surabaya dalam melakukan block tidak sempurna dan ini nantinya akan dievaluasi menjelang pertandingan kedua dan ktiga untuk diperbaiki.

Perubahan pelaksanaan Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Porprov) II 2009 Malang, ternyata tidak mempengarui tuan rumah. Mereka mengaku sudah siap kapanpun even ini akan dilaksanakan.
Sekum KONI Kota Malang, Sumartoyo usai menghadiri rapat di KONI Jatim, Selasa (26/5) sore mengatakan, seluruh venues dan penginapan atlet sudah siap. "Kapanpun Porprov dilaksanakan kami sudah siap, beberapa venues juga sudah dibangun," katanya
Ia mengakui, hanya ada dua venue yang belum 100 persen selesai, yakni untuk cabang olahraga renang dan panjat tebing. Saat ini, kolam renang yang berlokasi di kawasan Stadion Gajayana sedang dikebut penyelesaiannya dan untuk venue panjat tebing masih mencari lokasi yang paling tepat. Tapi, setelah ada keputusan kalau even dua tahunan ini digelar bulan Oktober, ia optimistis kalau pembangunan venues itu sudah selesai.
"Untuk panjat tebing akan kita laksanakan di Lapangan Rampal, hanya saja kami belum memiliki dinding lead (kesulitan) sedangkan speed (kecepatan) dan boulder (jalur pendek) sudah ada," katanya.
Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, pihak tuan rumah akan menyewa dinding lead milik Federasi Panjat Tebing Indonesia (FPTI) Jatim. "Mungkin kami akan menyewa jika kondisi benar-benar mendesak," katanya.
Sedangkan untuk kolam renang ia juga mengaku sudah menyiapkan alternatif venue cabang renang bisa di kolam renang Kostrad Singosari. "Kondisinya juga sangat bagus dan layak," jelasnya.
Mengenai sarana pendukung, seperti penginapan atlet dan official, tuan rumah juga mengaku tidak ada masalah, karena beberapa hotel dan asrama militer sudah disiapkan. "Kami memperkirakan sebanyak 8.000 atlet dan official yang akan mengikuti Porprov," katanya.
Sementara itu, saat disinggung mengenai persiapan atlet Kota Malang dalam ajang Porprov II, Sumartoyo mengatakan, juga tidak ada masalah, sebab seluruh atlet dari 20 cabang olahraga yang dipertandingkan sudah menjalani pemusatan latihan cabang (Puslatcab). "Kapanpun pelaksanaan Porprov II Jatim ini, kami sudah siap. Siap sebagai tuan rumah juga siap meraih prestasi terbaik dalam ajang dua tahunan ini," tegasnya. (her/p)

"In my capacity as a citizen and later if people give a mandate to pak (Mr) SBY (Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono) as president again with me as vice president, I will continue watch over BI so that it will remain an effective and independent institution that contributes maximally to the management of our economy," he said at a press conference held in connection with his resignation as BI governor.
At the press conference Boediono was flanked BI senior deputy governor Miranda S Goeltom and three BI deputy governors Mulyaman D Hadad, Hartadi A Sarwono and Budi Mulya.
He said Bank Indonesia was now in good condition and responsive to the economic challenges as it already had well established work system.
Therefore, he said, he was not worried about leaving his job at the bank. "I feel, I can leave the institution with a good feeling meaning that the institution is running very well and decision-making process is already well-established.
